Most Affordable Local Wedding Venues

Once again, I am blogging here to try to save you as much money as possible with your upcoming wedding. It is my hope that by helping you find reasonable accommodations and thrifty wedding ideas (see last blog post for those), that you will be able to afford that wedding photographer you deserve!

While this list is by no means all-inclusive, I have done my best to mention the most affordable wedding venues I have found in my own search in order to help others out in their endeavors as well.

While I always recommend to clients that the most affordable venues are 1. your own church, and 2. local parks/outdoor recreation centers, this list will not include those for the purpose of keeping this blog post as concise as possible. However, if anyone knows of a good deal locally that they would like to see added, please let me know!

https://chapelinpines.com/wedding-packages/

Chapel in the Pines is an indoor/outdoor location with packages that start as low as $500 for the ceremony only. This is perfect for intimate elopements on low-budgets. If you want to invite guests, though, the cost increases to $800 for 40 guests, and the prices increase based on the amount of guests you invite.

This venue is great for the adventure-lovers who like small, country weddings with a rustic theme of sorts.

Club Windward (Location: Lakeland, TN)

http://clubwindward.com/index.php/home/ourfacility/

Prices at Club Windward start at $450 for a Monday-Thursday wedding, $1,000 for a Friday wedding, $1,500 for a Sunday wedding, and Saturday is the most expensive at $2,000 for the day.

Club Windward is an outdoor facility that is great for those doing fall or spring weddings that do not mind the heat/being outside during the ceremony and the reception. It has an air of sophistication to it, and is great for those who enjoy a suburban wedding.

The Cotton Gin (Location: Olive Branch, MS)

https://www.facebook.com/OBCottonGin

The Cotton Gin;s prices start at $1,250 for Friday or Sunday, and go up to $1,800 for Saturdays. The location can seat up to 100 guests for an indoor ceremony, and 150 for the reception. Their week-days very well may be cheaper.

The Cotton Gin is an elegant indoor venue located in the heart of Old Towne Olive Branch. For those who like indoor exclusively, and don't mind the sparse parking, this is a great choice.

The Candy Factory Suites (Location: Downtown Memphis)

https://www.wedding-spot.com/venue/11924/The-Candy-Factory-Suites/

The Candy Factory's prices start at $650, Fridays and Sundays are $850, and Saturdays top out at $1,500. The rental fees include the chairs and tables. The location can seat up to 130 people comfortably, and more for standing-up occasions.

A stunning urban foundation with similarly elegant winding staircases and beautiful architecture. This is perfect for those who love a good night on the town. In addition, it is close to places such as the Orpheum.

The Balinese Ballroom (Location: Downtown Memphis)

http://www.balineseballroom.com/ballrooms.html

The Balinese Ballroom offers 3 different ballrooms. Their cheapest Ballroom starts at $995 and their most expensive Ballroom tops out at $1800. Depending on the chosen Ballroom, it can accommodate up to 300 guests.

Perfect for the urban lovers, this is a great space to at least have a reception--if nothing else. With plenty of room to dance around, your guests should not feel cramped whatsoever.

Brooks Museum (Location: Midtown Memphis)

http://www.brooksmuseum.org/weddings

For their Terrace Room, Rotunda, and Patio combined it is $1,500 Wednesday-Thursday and on Sunday. For the Holly Court (pictured below) it is $1,500.

Perfect for art lovers, and those with a love for the natural beauty that Midtown has to offer. Personally, I happen to find the Holly Court stunning. I would recommend doing a fall or spring wedding, but perhaps be cautious about scheduling a summer one due to our hot Memphis weather.

Crazy K Ranch (Location: Mitchie, TN)

http://www.crazykranch.net/crazy-k-ranch-events/crazy-k-ranch-weddings/

The Crazy K Ranch might be a little drive for those of us in the Memphis Metro, but the price might just be worth it. The barn rents for $1,000 for the whole day. The small event center is only $500, and the big event center tops out at $1,200.

This location is perfect for those who like the country-style wedding, and don't mind being in the heat (if you choose to host your wedding at the barn).

One Memphis Street (Location: Hernando, MS)

http://1memphisstreet.com/

One Memphis Street starts at $2,000 for a Sunday, goes up to $2,200 on a Friday, and tops out at $3,000 on a Saturday. While it may be the highest venue on the list, don't strike it out without giving it a chance. The rental fee includes the venue all day, tables, and chairs.

This venue is perfect for those who live in DeSoto county and love the rich history of Hernando and their Old Towne square. It is a great indoor venue with plenty of space to host guests for a party.

The Quonset (Location: Collierville, TN)

http://www.thequonset.com/information.html

The Quonset is yet another bargain. This is a completely indoor venue which is perfect for summers, or when it gets too cold. 5 hour events cost $500 during the week or $1,000 for the whole day. Friday and Sunday cost $2,300, and Saturday tops out at $2,900.

This is perfect for the suburbanite that loves the Collierville square and all that it has to offer. Take full advantage of the photo opportunities outside before heading in to the ceremony and/or reception.

Davies Manor Plantation (Location: "Technically" Memphis; Virtually Lakeland)

http://daviesmanorplantation.org/?page_id=68

This venue is unique in the sense that every weekend day has the same flat rate: $2,200. This beautiful indoor/outdoor location allows for an outdoor ceremony and an indoor reception. The downside is they have a list of preferred caterers.

This is one of my favorites as far as style goes. It works for most weather situations, and is relatively affordable for our location.

The Dixon (Location: East Memphis)

http://www.dixon.org/weddings-rehearsal-dinners

I'll be upfront: if you want an affordable ceremony, this is a spectacular choice. However, it should be noted that the ceremony itself is the only affordable thing about this location. For 3 hours of time, it costs $500 for the outdoor ceremony.

This is perfect for nature-lovers, and those who enjoy beautiful, outdoor ceremonies within the city but far enough away to forget you're even there.

Memphis Botanical Gardens (Location: East Memphis)

https://www.memphisbotanicgarden.com/gardenweddings

As far as guest accommodation, the sky is nearly the limit. They claim to be able to allow 2-600 guests into the ceremony. Once again, this is a ceremony-only price, but it is $750. Not a bad price for the scenery you're getting!

This venue is great for people who (once again) enjoy nature within a city setting. You likely will need to look elsewhere if you decide to do a reception due to higher prices for more.

Snowden House (Location: Southaven, MS)

https://southaven.org/Facilities/Facility/Details/31

This location costs $1,250 and accommodates up to 75 people. Chairs and tables are supplied with rental fees.

The Snowden House is a little piece of history that is entirely worth checking out. It's small, yet charming and definitely for those who like a small, secluded wedding in the suburbs.

Agape Wedding Chapel & Ennis Banquet Hall (Location: Covington, TN)

https://m.facebook.com/Agape-Wedding-Chapel-Ennis-Banquet-Hall-100348603640377/

The Agape wedding chapel and Ennis banquet hall are perfect for those who want an affordable, church-like option. It is $500 for either individually, or $1,000 for both. The price includes tables, chairs, and linens!

Chimes and Occasions (Location: Midtown Memphis)

http://www.chimesmemphis.com/

Chimes and Occasions are two separated yet connected venues. Chimes is the wedding chapel that seats 125 people, and Occasions is the reception hall that can host 150 people standing or 100 seated. The price is $2,000 for Friday or Sunday, or $3,000 for Saturday. Week days are cheaper.

This location is perfect for those who love the hustle and bustle of the heart of Midtown while feeling the elegant indoors for a reasonable price!
